Abstract Information: In this demonstration, we explore the pivotal role of lived experience in shaping evaluation design, from initial grant writing through data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings. While methodological rigor is crucial, framing evaluations solely from the researcher's perspective may overlook crucial insights inherent in participants' lived experiences. Mere inclusion of demographic data or cultural factors in analysis may prove insufficient without a framework that comprehensively integrates participant perspectives. Through a concrete example, we illustrate the divergent outcomes yielded by framing evaluations from both researcher and participant perspectives, emphasizing the importance of methodological approach in data analysis. Our demonstration outlines a proposed framework for framing evaluations from the participants' standpoint, offering actionable steps for implementation.
