Abstract Information: In this session, the facilitators will guide participants in a discussion of how spiritual principles influence their work as evaluators, and inform their ethical practice. Participants will be encouraged to consider and share ancient and modern systems of guidance and collectively participate in the following activities: --Defining social transformation and how it differs from social change. --Exploring how spiritual principles can effectively guard and guide evaluators’ work, including the work they choose to do, how they approach their work, and the resulting products. --Identifying relationships between engaging spirituality in our work and using liberatory practices. --Discussing the ethics of using liberatory practices as alternatives to “evaluator as expert” practices.
