Abstract Information: The use of large databases (big data), advanced informatics, and complex analytic techniques have greatly expanded over the past two decades in many spheres of science, including public health surveillance and research. These trends are also reflected at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) where the CDC Data Hub serves as an enterprise-wide resource that acquires, evaluates, manages, and supports the use of multiple, large data sources by CDC scientists to generate hypotheses, find evidence, and inform public health action. Integral to this mission are evaluations that help ensure CDC Data Hub’s data, platforms and applications, technical and analytic support services, and overall processes effectively and efficiently meet the needs of CDC scientists. This session includes three presentations that describe CDC Data Hub's comprehensive approach for evaluating data and related resources, data support activities, and impact.
