Abstract Information: One may ask, what does financial analysis have to do with evaluations? One may also wonder if it is not the territory of accountants and economists. Despite these questions, we evaluators talk about budgets and costs, but do we analyze/evaluate them, and if we do, to what extent do we go in our financial or cost analysis? The presenter would draw upon and share his practical experiences from around the world on how financial and cost analysis has added value to understanding program outcomes and helped amplify and empower voices in diverse international contexts, be it for women, youth, children and/or farmers/fishers. The presenter would present what financial analysis could be done and how an evaluative lens of financials and costs facilitates better funding and program decisions to ensure transformative changes in a world of polycrisis.
