Abstract Information: In collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Department of Labor (DOL), DevTech presents a series of practical case studies exploring how locally led, participatory methods for program design contribute to stronger democratic and human rights program outcomes. These case studies focus on program design and monitoring and evaluation design and implementation for democracy strengthening programs completed on behalf of US federal government agencies. The case studies present practical examples of how to engage and amplify local, underrepresented voices; reflect on how these approaches strengthen program results; how to cultivate dialogue between citizens and host governments; how to craft program monitoring plans that reflect local priorities; and other lessons learned.
