Ivonne Chand O’Neal, PhD, Founder and Chief Research Officer of MUSE Research, is a cultural strategist who leads a full-scale arts impact evaluation firm focusing on equity, access, and belonging. She also serves as Co-Founder of The Greater Good Group designing data-driven boutique retreat experiences for marginalized contributors of the arts and culture ecosystem. Trained as a Cognitive Psychologist with foci on the creative process and program evaluation in the national arts and culture sector, she pioneered comprehensive research platforms for renowned organizations like the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, analyzing the impact of the arts globally, and the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine where she led studies at the intersection of creativity and psychoneuroimmunology. Her roles include strategic positions at Crayola and VSA: The International Organization on Arts and Disability, along with chairing the Arts, Culture, and Museums Division at the American Evaluation Association. She serves on boards for the Minnesota Opera, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, and the National Guild for Community Arts Education, and advises the University of Pennsylvania’s Human Flourishing Initiative. As a federally-appointed reviewer for esteemed institutions like the National Endowment for the Arts and the Corporation for National and Community Service, she advocates for creative education. Her work, highlighted by media outlets and government bodies, precedes her upcoming 3-book publication, "The Impact of the Arts on Human Flourishing" (Springer, 2026).
