M. Magdalena Aguilar, MA (she/they/ella) is a PhD student at the UC Santa Barbara Gevirtz Graduate School of Education working with Dr. Tarek Azzam. Magdalena recieved her BA in Chicana/o Studies (Social and Policy Emphasis) from UC Davis and an MA in Education (Social Research Methodology) from UCLA. Her academic foci are culturally responsive evaluation, decolonial theory and it's application to evaluation, systems thinking, and the use of mixed methods in evaluation.
