Cody received his MPH from the University of North Dakota in May of 2023. He is a Senior Research and Evaluation Specialist at Lost&Found, a suicide prevention and postvention nonprofit whose vision is "a world in which no young adult dies by suicide." He is particularly interested in data analysis regarding program and policy change for traditionally underrepresented communities. Cody works on various research and evaluation projects at Lost&Found, where he is excited to use data to tell the stories of how the organizations he works with are using their programs to promote community change. He serves as the primary investigator on the South Dakota Queer Affirmative Care Initiative.
Recently, Cody was selected as a Bloomberg American Health Initiative Fellow at Johns Hopkins University to receive a Doctorate in Public Health, with a concentration in Health Equity and Social Justice and Violence Prevention. His research will focus on suicide prevention and mental health in the LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit community. Cody lives in Sioux Falls, SD with his partner Josh and their dog, Cooper.
