Senior Research and Learning Officer

As Senior Research & Learning Officer for the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), Jean-Marie Callan applies research tools to support learning and inform OCF priorities, activities, and operations. She manages OCF’s Tracking Oregon’s Progress (TOP) series exploring issues that matter to Oregon and evaluation activities across a variety of OCF initiatives. Since joining the team in August 2021, she has enjoyed learning about OCF’s work supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem, parenting education, community building, scholarships, summer learning, and housing.
She is delighted to work in her home state after nearly a decade with the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity. As Deputy Director of Programs & Evaluation there, Jean-Marie managed evaluation activities of her team working with nationally recognized research firms to produce useful evidence, apply learnings to program and policy decisions, and advance equity. Her prior professional experience includes additional research and programmatic roles in the non-profit and public sectors.She holds a Master's Degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Philosophy from Seattle University.
