Dr. Shelly Maras, PhD, is an Evaluation Research Scientist at the UNC Center for Health Equity Research where she works on the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics, Underserved Populations (RADx-UP) program and other projects. She earned her PhD in Sociology at NC State University in 2022. Her research interests include health disparities in underserved communities, health equity, and women’s health. Shelly is experienced at designing and implementing qualitative and evaluation research studies to help understand and improve health care access and outcomes.
