Esrael Woldeeyesus has more than 13 years of experience with extensive knowledge in Monitoring and Evaluation (formative, summative, and developmental evaluation methods), Collaboration, Learning, Adaptation (CLA), Business Development, Grants Management, and Project Management. He has ample experience working with major donors (e.g., USAID, ECHO, EU, GAC, and Australian DFAT), Ethiopian government offices/ministries (e.g., EDRMC, RRS, and Ministry of Finance), and multilateral organizations (UN agencies, IGAD, and African Union). He has extensive knowledge and proven experience in monitoring and evaluation (formative, summative, and developmental) methodologies. Esrael is experienced in the development of evaluation/learning questions, survey designs, indicator formulation, questionnaire design, result framework (intervention logic), ToC, and PCM approach. He designed, implemented, supervised, and evaluated several projects in Africa - Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti and the Central African Republic.
Currently, Esrael is a Developmental Evaluation Lead for a five-year Learning Adaptation Project of USAID Ethiopia implemented by Headlight Consulting Services, LLC. Esrael is providing embedded support to the USAID/Ethiopia Mission, generating evidence and facilitating adaptations, including in the development process of the Mission's Country Development Cooperation Strategy.
