Linnea Hjelm, MS, is a PhD Candidate (ABD) in the Civil Society and Community Research department within the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Human Ecology. Her research explores the impacts of youth leadership and the settings that support those impacts, especially for young people who experience marginalization. Linnea's dissertation project is a transformative participatory evaluation of a youth-led sexual violence prevention initiative nested within a county-level sexual violence resource center, where she has served as a committed partner for almost 4 years. In collaboration with this community partner, Linnea brings expertise as a prevention educator, facilitator, curriculum developer, and program evaluator.
