Dr. Jim Fauth, Director, Behavioral Health Improvement Institute, Keene State College
Dr. Fauth directs the Behavioral Health Improvement Institute (BHII) at Keene State College (NH). BHII works shoulder to shoulder with community partners to improve behavioral health practice, equity, and outcomes for vulnerable, disadvantaged, and underserved populations. Dr. Fauth has been the PI/co-PI on over 40 externally funded projects including initiatives funded by USDOE, NHDOE, SAMHSA, HRSA, CDC, state government, and private foundations. These projects have focused on many populations (e.g., children and adults, rural and urban); delivered myriad interventions (e.g., prevention, treatment, care coordination), in diverse settings (e.g., mental health organizations, schools, municipalities), all with the aim of improving community/behavioral health at the population level. Dr. Fauth also led the team commissioned by NH DHHS to create NH’s current 10-year state mental health plan. His areas of expertise are in behavior change and psychotherapy; implementation science; qualitative and quantitative process and outcome methods; and behavioral health integration.
