Bianca Montrosse-Moorhead, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Research Methods, Measurement, and Evaluation program in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut. As an evaluation researcher, educator, and practitioner, Dr. Montrosse-Moorhead specializes in evaluation methodology, theory, practice, and capacity building. Her research examines evaluation as the object of inquiry to advance understanding on the field’s foundational knowledge, the preparation of evaluators for practice, and the nature of expertise in the field. She has an active evaluation practice and has secured millions of dollars in funding for evaluation studies from the National Science Foundation, the U. S. Department of Education, and state and local education agencies. She has received several awards including the American Evaluation Association (AEA) early career award (2014) and the EvalYouth Award (2021). She is a former elected AEA Board Member and a founding member and former Chair of the EvalYouth Global Network. Dr. Montrosse-Moorhead currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for New Directions for Evaluation, and as an editorial board member for the American Journal of Evaluation.
