Claire Fontaine, PhD, is a Senior Evalation Project Manager at Via Evaluation. Dr. Fontaine holds a PhD in Urban Education from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (2015), a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University (2005), and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University (2002). Claire has been a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Social Policy & Practice at the University of Pennsylvania (2018-2021), a researcher at Data & Society Research Institute (2015-2018), and a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and professor of pre- and in-service teachers in the New York City public school system (2003-2015). She has published in the International Journal of Qualitative Methods and Social Media & Society, and has expertise in traditional and emerging qualitative and mixed methods as well as the impact of technology on society.
