Nicole Lauzus (she/her), MSW, is a Research Associate at the Center for Improvement of Child & Family Services at Portland State University. Following a decade of direct social work practice, Nicole moved into research and evaluation in 2017 in order to contribute to equity-driven systems change. She focuses on critically examining family-serving systems in order to disrupt harmful policies and practices. Nicole has experience in child welfare, home visiting, workforce development, early childhood education, and substance use disorder prevention and treatment, primarily with community-engaged and culturally responsive approaches to research and evaluation. Nicole is a Taurus who enjoys reading, crafts, and spending time in nature.
