Maria Mullaney (she/her), MPH, is a Social Research Scientist at Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) where she conducts participatory evaluations of programs focused on strengthening community wellbeing, supporting young people’s mental health, and furthering equity in maternal and birth outcomes through culturally congruent supports. Prior to joining PHSKC, Maria led and supported mixed methods research and evaluation focused on youth mental health and substance use prevention as a Research Coordinator at the Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. She brings her lived experience and professional training in qualitative methods and participatory research to the practice of evaluation and is committed to elevating community voice and strengths. Maria currently lives in Seattle, WA with her partner and two cats where she finds joy through making art, exploring the mountains, tending to her urban garden, and attempting to swim in the sound.
