Karen Melchior is a Research Associate in the Research-Practice Partnerships program at WestEd. Amongst other projects, she manages the EIR Knowledge Acquisition and Transformation Expansion (KATE) RCT, supports the ongoing evaluation of NASA's Neurodiversity Network program. Melchior also managed the research and evaluation of several Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) science curriculum, as well as led the analysis of stakeholder feedback as part of the New York Graduation Measures Initiative and the Review of Mayoral Control of New York City Schools. Prior to WestEd, Karen worked at several education research organizations including the American Institutes for Research, and the Center for Youth and Communities at Brandeis University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and her Master of Education in Human Development & Psychology from Harvard University.
