Onyinyechukwu Onu Onwuka du Bruyn is a mom of triplets and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the STEM Program Evaluation Lab (SPEL) at UNC Greensboro. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from UNC Greensboro, where she also earned her M.S. in the same field. Prior to these achievements, she completed an M.Sc. in Biostatistics from the University of Ibadan and a B.Sc. in Applied Statistics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
As a Postdoctoral Fellow in SPEL, Dr. Onwuka du Bruyn co-leads multiple NSF and NIH-funded projects while managing overall lab operations. Her work is characterized by a strong commitment to culturally responsive evaluation methods and fostering equity and inclusion in educational and public health contexts. Dr. Onwuka du Bruyn’s professional journey includes international experience as a Program Manager in Nigeria, where she trained interviewers, developed research protocols, analyzed data, and developed reports to inform public health and edutainment initiatives. She is an active contributor to the academic community, with peer-reviewed publications and presentations at conferences such as the American Evaluation Association Annual Conference.
