Sara Jones is an Evaluation Officer at the Houston Endowment. In this role, Sara works collaboratively with colleagues and partners to design and implement effective evaluations that will inform strategy and improve the impact of grantees’ and Houston Endowment’s work. Sara has spent most of her career in education. She worked as a Teach for America teacher in Houston before earning her doctorate and serving as faculty in the College of Education at the University of Houston and most recently worked as the Executive Director of Assessment, Accountability and Analytics in Aldine School District. In all these roles she worked to evaluate educational programs as well as build the evaluation capacity and systems within the organizations to facilitate the practice of continuous learning. Sara has her master’s and doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
