Hanna is Director of MEL Technologies with Mercy Corps’ Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team. She leads global strategy development, training, and technical support for data technologies for MEL, and works directly with teams in Mercy Corps offices to implement more efficient processes for collecting, processing, and analyzing MEL data. Her work focuses heavily on helping humanitarian aid and development programs across the globe use data technology in a context-appropriate way, build and maintain data skills, and improve overall use of data for decision-making. She also leads or collaborates on grant-funded projects which develop resources for specific thematic areas such as reduced access MEL, context analysis, and use of remote sensing data for MEL. Before joining Mercy Corps, Hanna worked as a data analyst and project manager for organizations focusing on agricultural climate analytics and long-term forecasting and scenario planning.
