Carrie Lippy (she/they), PhD, is a social research scientist at Public Health – Seattle & King County. In their current role, Carrie supports mixed method evaluations of community-led systems change efforts and youth mental health programs. Before joining the Public Health department, they spent over 10 years collaborating on participatory research in grassroots agencies in the gender-based violence field. During that time, Carrie served as the Research Coordinator and eventually the Co-Director of the National LGBTQ Institute on Intimate Partner Violence. Prior to that, she held both ORISE and CDC Foundation fellowships in the Division of Violence Prevention at CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Carrie is deeply committed to using research to foster social change by supporting community-based solutions. Carrie currently lives in Seattle, WA with their partner, two dogs, and an inexplicable love of cold-water swimming.
