Dr. Meggan Franks has spent 10 years developing institution-wide systems for reporting and evaluating outreach and community engagement at two R1 Carnegie research and community engagement institutions. Currently she oversees the LSU AgCenter Extension Reporting System (LERS), managing its co-development, implementation, statewide training, and report monitoring. Additionally, she leads the development of the NIFA Annual Report of Accomplishments and Plan of Work (POW) for the LSU AgCenter.
In her current role, Meggan collaborates with AgCenter extension and research faculty to devise and administer evaluation, reporting, and impact strategies for their diverse research and extension initiatives. She conducts both qualitative and quantitative program evaluations, analyzes results, and produces reports in narrative and infographic formats. Meggan is also tasked with crafting professional training materials and resources for LSU AgCenter faculty on program development, reporting, and evaluation.
In her previous role, Meggan authored Mississippi State's successful Carnegie Community Engagement reapplication. Meggan also teaches within the department of Agricultural and Extension Education & Evaluation.
