Melissa Kurman is an Impact and Evaluation Manager at the University City Science Center, a non-profit in Philadelphia. Melissa manages the data collection, metric tracking, and reporting necessary to inform and support the impact assessment and fundraising needs of the Science Center’s STEM education program, FirstHand. Before joining the Science Center, Melissa was a marine ecologist studying the ability of marine foundation species like Giant Kelp and deep sea corals to adapt to climate change. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Temple University and her Master of Science in Biology from California State University, Northridge.
