Md. Abu Hanif is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program development & management, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) within the international development sector. With over 25 years of experience, he has established himself as a leader in designing and managing MEAL systems, conducting out baseline, formative & impact studies, and guiding high-level consultancy works. His Master's in ‘Development Studies’ from Southeast University, Dhaka, major in poverty alleviation, program management, development concept, M&E in NGO sector and micro and macro-economic while specialized training from institutions like Carlton University in Ottawa Canada and the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland has honoured his expertise in program management, developmental evaluation and M&E in peacebuilding.
Hanif's career has spanned multiple countries and sectors, including peacebuilding, early childhood development, food security, and gender empowerment, working with various donors such as USAID, FCDO, and the World Bank. His collaborative approach to learning and adaptation has seen him design and implement learning agendas, ensuring accountability mechanisms are in place to enhance program quality.
Proficient in data analysis and digital tools, Hanif has a strong track record in capacity building, leading teams, and providing remote support across different countries. His community engagement extends beyond his professional roles, as he is actively involved in various initiatives, including serving as a board member and founder Chairman of educational institutions.
Hanif's multilingual skills, including advanced English and basic proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Bangla, further enhance his ability to communicate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
