Margaret (Maggie) Wilkin, MPH, is the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Center for Wellness and Nutrition. Maggie has 20 years of experience conducting evaluations of a wide variety of studies including community-based public health intervention studies, food is medicine programs, evaluation of SNAP-Ed programs, WIC redemption data studies, and large-scale analysis of Medicaid data claims. In her current role, she manages an evaluation team and leads food and nutrition-related projects from diverse funders including foundations, U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, as well as state and local governments. Maggie approaches evaluation with an equity-focus and has co-led SNAP-Ed equity assessments in multiple states. She is an experienced data analyst with expertise in advanced statistical methods including multivariate regression modeling, longitudinal data analysis, multi-level modeling, sample size determination and survival analysis. She is passionate about finding creative ways to translate evaluation results for a variety of audiences. She has co-authored eighteen articles published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Best Article of 2019 in the Journal of Nutrition and Education Behavior.
