Joel Gutierrez, MBA, Director, ORS Impact, through his work at ORS Impact over the past 10 years, he brings extensive experience designing and implementing participatory evaluations that focus on learning and policy advocacy, including for clients such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the Rockefeller Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the First Five Years Fund, and the Alliance for Early Success. Joel believes quality evaluation is co-created and inclusive of underrepresented voices and ensures that findings are accessible and actionable for intended audiences. He is the co-author of "I2L2: Impact, Influence, Leverage, and Learning (updated)", and “When the Best Offense is a Good Defense: Understanding and Measuring Advocacy on the Defense." Joel resides in Seattle, WA with his wife Samantha and dog Opal and elderly cat Oliver. When he's not at work, Joel loves to travel, eat good food, and be outside.
