Dr. Campbell has over 15 years of experience conducting and managing evaluations using mixed-method data collection strategies. She has expertise in providing culturally responsive strategies in research, with a focus on understanding and addressing equity issues. Specifically, her research in evaluation engages stakeholder voices via the use of multiple qualitative and quantitative data collection approaches through a culturally responsive framework. Dr. Campbell is currently the Director for the evaluation of the Arizona Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) project and First2 Network INCLUDES grant as well as serves as Implementation Lead on an EIR funded project, That’s Just Good Teaching (TJGT). She recently concluded the evaluation for the Black SciGirls after-school project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and a study funded by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to examine facilitators and barriers to college completion for Black students in higher education. Before her work in research at ICF, Dr. Campbell taught secondary mathematics in Kentucky, taught English as a second language in West Africa, and led state outreach mobilizing efforts in Washington, DC, to support college access opportunities for underrepresented students. All these experiences have shaped her research and evaluation efforts to embody culturally responsive and equitable evaluation frameworks.
