Rigzom is an Economist and a Manager at Causal Design. She has over eight years of experience in research, policy design, and implementation across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. At Causal Design, she oversees a portfolio of USAID/BHA-funded impact evaluations, including randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies. These include assessing the impact of the Closing Emergency Assistance Gaps for Victims of Displacement in Colombia, the Broadening Emergency and Graduation Efforts in Nigeria, and two impact evaluations of the Resilience Food Security Activities in Ethiopia. In the past, Rigzom also managed the multi-million-dollar impact evaluation of the Shelter and Food Emergency Response II (SAFER-II) program in North-East Syria. Prior to joining Causal Design, Rigzom worked at J-PAL/IFMR in India where she supported research design and analysis, and managed research operations of RCTs and mixed-methods studies. She has consulted for the World Bank, Royal Government of Bhutan, Mercy Corps, and others. Rigzom holds a Master’s in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brown University. She is fluent in Dzongkha, Hindi, and Nepali.
