Courtney Barnard, EdD, LMSW-AP is the Director of Child Wellness at Cook Children’s Center for Community Health. There, she oversees the development and implementation of community-based initiatives focused on the prevention and promotion of children's mental health, asthma, obesity, and abuse and neglect across North Texas. As a Licensed Master Social Worker-Advanced Practitioner, Courtney began her career working directly with children and families in the midst of homelessness, family and sexual violence, and restorative justice. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, and a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University.
