Managing Senior Associate

Dr. Susanne Harnett is a managing senior associate at Metis Associates and an Assistant Professor at Montclair State University. She has nearly 25 years of experience with program evaluation, research design, sampling methodology, field research, qualitative and quantitative methodology, data maintenance, grant writing and technical writing. She has deep expertise in evaluating arts education programs, including the Cooper Union Saturday Program and Studio Institute’s Arts Intern projects described above. She also is currently (or has previously) supported evaluation projects for the NYC Department of Education’s Office of Arts and Special Projects, the National Arts Education Association, Lincoln Center Education, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, the National Association of Music Makers, and Young Audiences, among others. Moreover, Susanne has served as an NEA grant reviewer on the Arts Works grants, an IES arts grant reviewer, and was a keynote speaker at Lincoln Center Education’s Summer Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia.
