Dr. Saeed Ahmad is a medical epidemiologist dedicated to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by strengthening International Health Regulations (IHR) and Global Health Security through a One Health approach. Currently a doctoral researcher in Epidemiology and Public Health at Tampere University in Finland, he holds a Master of Science in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology. Dr. Ahmad has considerable experience in epidemic-prone infectious disease prevention, biosafety, and biosecurity. He has collaborated with leading organizations, including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Pakistan, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). His efforts in these roles have centered on the Joint External Evaluation as a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for health systems preparedness, developing public health workforce training programs, and enhancing international health regulations. Dr. Ahmad's work reflects his commitment to improving health outcomes in low-resource settings and his dedication to advancing global health initiatives.
