Rebecca Butcher, MS, MPH is a Senior Research Scientist and the Director of the Center for Program Design & Evaluation (CPDE) based at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. With over 20 years’ experience in healthcare delivery, education and research, and 12 years at CPDE, Rebecca brings expertise in evaluation design, mixed methods data collection and analysis, proposal development and dissemination support to multiple grant- and non-grant funded projects with local, state and national partners. Her work is grounded in evidence-based theoretical models of change, implementation science and utilization-focused evaluation. Rebecca leads a number of multi-site, multi-level evaluations for community-based population health initiatives, policy evaluations, and systems transformation projects, where she employs sequential and longitudinal mixed methods designs to track and assess implementation processes while also measuring outcomes at multiple levels. Recent work has studied variations in health outcomes and access to care in diverse populations and people of color, and development and testing of a decision support tool.
