Adept at spanning boundaries, Kate McKegg has combined consultancy, board directorships, teaching, and parenting three children (and, more recently, grandparenting) over 30+ years. During this time, she has supported dozens of individuals, organisations, and communities to use evaluative thinking and practice to further their goals and aspirations.
Kate is the director of The Knowledge Institute Ltd, a member of the Kinnect Group, and a member of the indigenous-led collective Tuakana Teina, which is based in the Waikato region of New Zealand. She is a co-founder of the Developmental Evaluation Institute and a founding member and past Convenor of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association (ANZEA). She is also the Chair of the board of Xtreme Zero Waste Ltd, an organisation committed to the principles of local circular economies that afford all precious resources their true value. The organisation is a leader in locally-led action towards a global vision of a world without waste. She holds a Masters in Social Policy (First Class Honours), from Massey University, New Zealand.
