Adam Brazil, PhD, is a grant program director in the Center for Educational Opportunity Programs at the University of Kansas. In this role, Dr. Brazil has over 10 years of experience developing, managing, and administering education outreach and federal grant partnerships benefitting migrant and English learner students in Kansas schools and communities. Dr. Brazil also acts as a grant evaluation consultant for grant-funded projects serving Tribal communities' public health initiatives in rural western Kansas, eastern Washington, and eastern Oregon. Dr. Brazil is an active contributor to organizations offering scholarships for first-generation college students. He regularly presents and publishes scholarly work on education outreach programs promoting academic achievement amongst students from historically-underrepresented backgrounds to regional and national audiences (e.g., American Evaluation Association, National Association of State Directors of Migrant Education) and in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., TESOL Journal, The Toolbox: A Teaching and Learning Resource for Instructors).
