Maria Sanchez is a health scientist, Program Evaluator for CDC’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, Division of Human Development and Disability. As a member of the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) team, Maria is involved in a range of activities, including project development; program planning and working with funded state recipients to plan and conduct evaluations. Prior to that, she was the evaluator for the Alzheimer’s Disease and Healthy Aging Program. Her Public Health career started at the Puerto Rico Department of Health, working as the Astha program evaluator.
