Laura Budzyna (she/her) is the founder and principal consultant of Beyond Measure. She is committed to impact measurement and management that helps leaders innovate, adapt, and learn. Laura’s evaluation practice spans from impact investing and social entrepreneurship to impact networks and systems change initiatives. From 2014 to 2021, Laura led evaluation, learning, and innovation practice at MIT D-Lab, where she envisioned and implemented the lab’s first impact measurement strategy and rooted it in participatory design. She has conducted evaluations in over 20 countries, interviewing hundreds of individuals from all walks of life. She holds an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs and a BA in International Studies from Middlebury College. She is a regular lecturer at MIT, Columbia University, and Oxford University, and is the author of The Metrics Café and a co-author of Ventures at the Helm: How ventures & investors navigate the IMM journey together.
