Hema Lingireddy is a doctoral student under the advisement and supervision of Dr. Rama Radhakrishna. Hema is passionate about Extension education, Needs assessment, Program Design & Evaluation. She is currently working on evaluation of multi-state, multi-institutional project on Controlled Environment Agriculture, which is funded by USDA-NIFA. During her Masters in ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, she assessed Perspective of Farmers on Digital Technologies. Later, she joined as a Research Intern at ICRISAT (International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-arid Tropics), Hyderabad, India where she involved in training farmers on various digital tools. At Purdue, Hema is 2023 Andrews Graduate Fellow awardee for the College of Agriculture, which recognizes academic excellence of outstanding PhD-track students. Hema is a student member of the AEA, NAEPSDP, and AIAEE.
Rama Radhakrishna is a professor and department head of Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication at Purdue University. Rama received his his Ph.D. in agricultural education (with an emphasis in Extension education) from Penn State. Prior to his Purdue appointment, Rama served as Assistant Dean for Graduate Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State. At Penn State Rama taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in program development, program evaluation, research methods, and data analysis. He has published over 140 refereed journal articles in 20 different journals and presented over 400 refereed papers and posters. In addition, Rama has worked with over 60 graduate students at Penn State either as a chair or member of doctoral/masters committees. Rama has received several teaching awards including 2009 Sustained Extension Evaluation Award from the American Evaluation Association; and many more. Additionally, he has received 16 outstanding paper/poster awards from a number of professional organizations.
