Public Health Analyst

Eva Bodin, MBE is a Public Health Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. In her role she is responsible for conducting monitoring and evaluation activities to improve the agency’s preparedness posture for future public health emergencies. She is also manager of the agency’s Continuous Improvement Program. Prior to joining PXE, Eva was an ORISE Fellow in the Office of Public Health Ethics and Regulations (OPHER) in the Office of Science (OS), where she worked to enhance the public health ethics capacity of public health practitioners and researchers at CDC by participating in ethics consultations and coordinating monthly Public Health Ethics Committee meetings. She has supported state and local overdose prevention and harm reduction programs as an ORISE Fellow with the Prevention Programs and Evaluation Branch (PPEB) in NCIPC's Division of Overdose Prevention (DOP). Prior to starting her career with CDC in 2022, Eva worked with non-governmental organizations, state health departments, and academic institutions in the United States and Canada on intimate partner and sexual violence, child death review, refugee health, and HIV stigma reduction.
Eva received her Masters of Bioethics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD, where her research focused on integrating ethical analysis into public health practice. She completed her BA at the University of Toronto, graduating with highest honors.
