Olivia Harris is a public health professional currently serving as an Evaluation Fellow in the Epidemiology Branch of the Office on Smoking and Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She is passionate about the intersection of behavioral and mental health, applying evaluation expertise and mixed methodology to build evaluation capacity for National Tobacco Control Program recipients and lead/assist the evaluation of other tobacco control programs, strategies, and policies. Prior to this role, Olivia served as an Evaluation and Data Analysis Fellow through ORISE at the CDC in the Division of Emergency Operations where she supported the Evaluation team of the Plans, Exercise and Evaluation Branch in their efforts to develop, design, and systematically collect evidence to support a validated survey for responders during a public health emergency response. Olivia's experience and interests are strengthened by her time as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Emory Health Veterans Program and time as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Olivia received her Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences as well as Certificate in Mental Health from Emory University (2023) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as Certificates in Clinical Psychological Science and Neuroscience from Indiana University (2020).
