Silvia Trigoso serves as the Evaluation Team Lead within the Division of Emergency Operations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she strategically leads, integrates, and coordinates evaluation efforts for agency-wide responses and exercises. She leads a multi-disciplinary team that assesses response operations and proccesses to identify strengths and areas for improvement in order to develop CDC's Acter-Action Report and Improvement Plans. Her team's efforts inform an evidence-based approach for improving the agency's preparedness posture. Ms. Trigoso has directly contributed to CDC's preparendess and response efforts for over a decade, including, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff in CDC's COVID-19 Response and 2022 Multi-National Mpox Response, establishing CDC's Incident Manager Training and Development Program (2015-2023), and addressing learning needs of the CDC responder workforce. In 2023, the Evaluation Team was awarded the Excellence in Program or Policy Evaluation by CDC's Office of Readiness and Response and in 2017, she was awarded CDC's Center for Preparedness and Response Excellence in Public Health Service Award. She is also the recipient of CDC's Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response Award for Excellence in Human Capital and Management – Employee Development (2016-2018).
Ms. Trigoso received her Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (2005), Master of Public Health and Certificate in Emergency Preparedness and Response from Loma Linda University (2009).
