Dr. Lama teaches graduate coutrses on evidence-based practice and program evaluation at California State University in Fresno. Dr. Lama worked as a program evaluator at Missouri Institute of Mental Health from 2002 - 2007 in St. Louis Missouri where he was part of the team evaluating homeless, mental health and substance abuse programs. During and after receiving his PhD in 2012, Dr. Lama was a part of team of evaluarors evaluating a global aset-building program (Nepal, Columbia, Ghana, Uganda) at the Center for Social Development at Washington University. As a fellow at at the Noble Laureate Douglas North's Center for New Institutional Social Sciences, Dr. Lama led the Middle Class Project. He then served as the Manager of Research at the EWG-Council of Governments overseeing the research and evaluation of the regional government programs. Since 2013, Dr. Lama has been teaching, researching and engaging in program evaluation in California and in Nepal.
