287 - These are a few of my favourite things: A toolbox of interpersonal skills for evaluators

Abstract Information: Evaluators use a variety of interpersonal tools to build relationships. This poster presents a review of the literature on interpersonal competencies in program evaluation. It subsequently draws on research from other fields to augment the limited research available in the evaluation literature. The poster summarizes the current state of literature on interpersonal competencies in program evaluation while identifying opportunities to teach interpersonal skills, and potential areas of future study. This research supports evaluation educators to better understand which skills we value as a field, and how we can best teach or train evaluators to build and use them effectively.
