Elizabeth Young Sweeney, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for Research Evaluation (CERE) at the University of Mississippi. She comes to evaluation with a diverse professional background that includes academic publishing and community development and engagement, as well as K-12 and higher education. Her role on the Children, Families, and Communities team at CERE allows her to continue to work in these areas while advancing positive strides in education, health, and wellbeing in her home state of Mississippi.
She has a PhD in Education from the University of Mississippi, where she also earned Master’s and Specialist degrees in Curriculum & Instruction, a pathway that began when she joined the Mississippi Teacher Corps. She has a BA in Religious Studies from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS.
