Ruth Frances Aston, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer of Evaluation in the Assessment and Evaluation Research Centre, Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. In addition to teaching into the Master of Evaluation, Ruth also supervises PhD Evaluation students. Her research focuses on areas of evaluation practice, including the impact and conceptualisation of evaluative thinking in education (Paproth, Clinton, & Aston, 2023), readiness and implementation in evaluation, and research on evaluation. Ruth has been a member of the American Evaluation Association since 2018 and is also a member of the Australian Evaluation Society.
