Dr. Abisola Osinuga Snipes is a Research Program Manager at the Center for Health Equity Research at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She helps develop, coordinate, and implement evaluation processes for public health programs and interventions geared toward mitigating the impacts of structural inequities in underserved populations. Dr. Snipes earned her Ph.D. in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Iowa. Through her academic research training, she has designed and implemented epidemiological studies characterizing the socio-environmental determinants influencing physical and psychosocial stress experiences among women in low-resource communities in Nigeria, Kenya, and India.
