I hold Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB) degrees. I have certificates of Reproductive Health Leadership, Leading Management Teams, Results-based Monitoring and Evaluation and Integrated Project Management. I have a working experience of 21 years. I have senior management working experience of over 15 years.

Currently I am working as an independent consultant focusing on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health.

I previously worked with Americares Foundation as its Country Director in Tanzania and a Global Leadership Team Member. My roles as the Country Director included leading and managing Americares Foundation's projects in Tanzania, strategic planning, financial, human resources management and managing its relationships with the government and other stakeholders in the country. My role as a Global Leadership Team Member included working with other members to support and advise the President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization on global leadership and management matters.

I worked at Thamini Uhai (formerly World Lung Foundation Tanzania) as the Executive Director for three years and 10 months. I worked in the same organization, when it was called World Lung Foundation Tanzania as the Country Director in Tanzania for three years and three months. I worked as the Reproductive Health Director for two years (2011-2013) and as a Zonal Manager for two years (2009-2011) at PSI/Tanzania. I also previously worked in other organizations including as a Project Manager of a non-communicable diseases project (2007-2009), a medical officer in two hospitals (2005-2007) and a medical officer in HIV immunological research program (2004-2005).

I am a board member of Thamini Uhai. I previously worked as the Chairperson of the board of White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood in Tanzania for two years from 2019-2021 and as the secretary of the board of Americares Foundation Tanzania.
