Susan Sunbury, Ed.D., is an Education Researcher in the Science Education Department at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, a national leader in the study of science learning, and in the research and development of evidence-based STEM learning experiences for adults and youth in both formal and informal settings. Dr. Sunbury has a Doctorate in Science Education and a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Biology from Boston University as well as a Master’s in Elementary Education from Lesley University. She has more than 35 years of experience in the development and implementation of formal and informal research and evaluation projects. Her current research focuses on pre-college students’ experiences, both in and out of school, that predict STEM interest, identity, and career interest, especially those of students underrepresented in STEM.
