Karen Yoshida Weldon, M.S./M.A., is the Evaluation Coordinator at the Clean Energy Resource Teams and Regional Sustainable Develop Partnerships at the University of Minnesota - Extension. She supports on-the-ground energy outreach and assistance through data collection and research.
Before transitioning to the energy sector in 2023, she worked in food justice, farming & conservation, cooperative development, and English education across the Midwest and in Japan. Karen holds an M.S. in environmental policy and planning, an M.A. in international and regional studies from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. from Macalester College. When she is not at work, find her riding her bike, cooking Japanese food, or foraging for her next meal.
