Dr Tatiana E. Bustos is a community psychologist and committed equity and social justice advocate. She innovates outside-the-box ways to do research and evaluations that invite communities along the way. She applies participatory and equitable research and evaluation methodologies to design and implement projects that promote the inherent strengths, capacities and opportunities of communities for social change. Her work includes projects focused on implementation of public health interventions, program development, initiatives for environmental justice and health equity. In her capacity as a researcher, she aims to bridge science with practice for the benefit of enhancing the engagement of communities throughout research and evaluation projects, programs, and initiatives. She has authored several blogs and peer reviewed publications on community partnerships, new directions for partnership engagement in evaluation, and practical ways to conduct equity-centered evaluations in service of racial equity.
